Upstate NY boater-friendly hobby shops??

I am going to be in Elmira, NY this weekend/next week- also Corning, Gloversville/Johnston, and Glenmont... are there any good hobby shops in these areas that would be considered a must-see for boaters????

I can tell you there is nothing in Gloversville or Johnstown except empty skin mills and old condemed houses. I use to live there app 40 years ago. I was up there last year and nothing has changed
