Good Luck Eddie! You may have to mod a Velasco style cowl. I have a splashed CF Velasco cowl that i've cut down for a SP40 Thriftway`style' shovel i'm currently building. What are you starting with hull wise?

This is the best source ive found for cowls. http://www.rcboatcompany.com/Cowlings.html

Ken I could tell you but then I would have to Kill you... LOL...

seriously looking at the master hull roster measurements, i believe the zippkitt would meet the dimensions for the thriftway too in 1/8 scale , The Tahoe Miss also comes to mind... but I just love the thriftway too....

Contact Roger Newton I bet he knows someone

If anyone has a cowling I need one too! The 1962 notchback version is going to be my next building project. Something tells me I"ll end up making my own so that it looks right. Definitly a one of a kind cowling. I asked Roger some time ago and he said there were a couple of old Thriftway Too hulls somewhere in the Northwest that could be splashed, but he didn't know where.

I remember when I got my Hawaii Kai hull from MTO they had a thriftway too kit that included a cowling for it. BUT, I dont know what happened to the molds, or if they are still around. The last I heard was that Mark Williamson (owner of the molds) had stopped production.
