We are sorry to announce that the Evansville race course is no longer properly positioned to set records. At the 2008 International regatta no records can be set during US-1 Trophy Trials. We apologize for those of you hoping for a surveyed course.

Can you local guy's give me an idea of what is in the area for the Family to do while Dad races?

Will there be camping on site , I would like to come in the Motorhome if possible.

Thanks

Tim K

Yes people have stayed in motorhomes at the site in the past... no tent camping. There are no hookups for you though!

Activities in the area: nearby shopping mall, rollerskating, iceskating, Holiday world theme park ( like a small six flags park), water park, both 1 hour away, minor league baseball, Childrens museum, adult museum, swimming pools, LST WWII ship in dock, Horse race track, casino,

Come and have fun!

Got an update to the flyer for those of you that are racing Sport 20 Hydro.

It has been brought to my attention that the rules for sport 20 hydro are incorrect.

Below are the correct rules for Sport 20 hydro

IMPBA Sportsman 20 Hydro (Sport 20 Hydro):

Boat Specifications

1. Boat must be inboard powered.

2. Hull must be a three (3) point hydroplane configuration and resemble a limited or

unlimited hydroplane design of past or present. Hulls not permitted: outrigger,

modified outrigger, tunnels, or canard hulls.

3. Boat must have a name, or sponsor's name, or logo, or a racing number affixed to the

hull. (a local or national or fictitious sponsor name is acceptable).

4. Hull shall have a minimum length of 27 inches, and a maximum length of 35 inches.

5. If the bow is recessed behind the tips of the sponsons, that recess shall be no larger

than 25% of the overall length of the boat. (refer to Sport Hull Configurations)

6. Boat must have a driver in open cockpit or simulated enclosed cockpit.

7. A strut width no greater than 9/16 inch wide may be mounted either under the hull

or on the transom with the farthest end of the drive dog, as measured from the

transom not extending out more than 3 inches.

8. See Sport Hull pictorial for clarification of Sport Hull Configurations.

Terry,

Good catch on that.. I was wondering if anybody was going to comment on that.

All in all I have been to 8 Internats now and never learned a thing in open water. Its just to hard to get a last minuet setup or tune you boat with 20 pound monsters out on the water unless you are testing one of them of course.

I told myself years ago that if I ever had the chance to be involved up front on the Internats, I would have TRUE CONTROLED open water regardless of how long I had to sit on the scoring tower.

All in all, the open water system we are using is to help our racers have a safe and good open water session/s, and give them the BEST chance to be competitive at the event.

Rock ON and good luck to all.

There is nothing wrong with that. Spell it out up front and then there are no questions.

Thanks Mark for your support.

I know you do as well as many others run the big guns. Its nice to see that this idea is being supported.

Richie,

Bring that lazy brother of yours (he is big, do not tell him I said that) and share the hotel expenses.

Heck.. maybe he can just sell that twin turbo car of his and pay for your half of the room too?

Great idea right!

Grim

Man that sounds like a great idea, but I don"t think he would pay for my share of the room,he is too cheap for that.Just have to work on the boss you know ea.See ya soon.
