starting an OB engine??

howdy guys,

i was talking with a guy @ my church who owns a laserline tunnel, and he was boasting about how fast it goes [not knowing im finishing up a lil' rigger that will go at least twice as fast ;D ] and he mentioned it has a pullstart

i knwo most higher quality OB engines dont have pullstarts,

and they dont appear to have grooves on the flywheel to use a started belt.....how do yall start em?

Standard electric starters have a rubber cone that fits over the flywheel. You have to reverse the rotation for outboards as compared to inboards. Launching with the engine running backwards is one of my common embarrasing mistakes.
