9.5 HP Snapper does a pretty good job- only had to clear the chute about 5 times in 6 years.

I have a 1985 Ariens 1032. 10hp 32" cut and that thing is a beast. The only time I have had it plug up on me was when it was negative digits outside, and I got into some slush under the snow (from all the salt I had thrown down prior to the snow. That plugged it up, because I had stopped and let it set to put more gas in it. Froze her up pretty good, but once I got 3/4 of it cleared, it took care of the rest. Great snow blower!!!
