It is with the heaviest heart that I inform all that Paul Blick, President of the East Cooper Model Club (ECMC), Charleston, SC, lost his short battle with lung cancer early this morning. Paul, who moved here about 7 years ago from Michigan, waged a furious fight over the past few months. He went through radiation and chemo treatments recently and lung surgery less than 3 weeks ago to remove the lung tumor. He did not survive the trauma of it all and left us at the early age of 62. Paul was always a gentleman and who loved boat racing, no matter how well or poorly things were going. Just like President Ronald Reagan, he had the same type of spirit and touched everyone he came in touch with. He will be missed by many.
