question about polishing lower unit

i have the o.s. lower unit. what is people using to polish them?

If you run in IMPBA sport class it can only be polished below the cav. plate anyway.

If you ever go to an offshore boat race or tunnel boat race (life size) walk around the pits and look at all those Mercury racing lowers units. They do not come from Mercury polished.......for a reason. Even the propellers are "lab finsished".
