prop removal

Another nubie question . I just got my octura y-535 prop for my mv and i can't seam to get the the stock prop off the flex shaft . Is there a trick to this removal or just brute force?

If it is stuck take a rag and wrap it around the prop.

place the nut back on the shaft with space between the prop and the nut.

Here is the hard part ................. hit the shaft with a hammer while holding onto the prop ( light taps should do it )

Test fit your new prop on the dog and file where needed.

I have used a quarter or nickel centered on the shaft to give you something to push aginst . Be careful those stock shafts bend pretty easy " I learned the hard way lol " . Hope this helps .

those plastic props are almost always to small on the i.d of the hub, and have to be pressed on or off with force...
