After about 3 month of work. My new project is race worthy!

Quick update on the project

Created 3 html pages with thumbnails and some comments of my progress with the project.

Here is the link

My Webpage

Specs:

Hull: Aeromarine Sprint CAT 42"

Engine: Zenoah PUM260 (Stock for now)

Speedworld ez-engine mount

QD Double cut steel tuned pipe

Speedmaster Strut and double-pickup rudder

Hi-Tech MG455 Servo

Speed 50MPH with radar.

Not bad for pump gas...

Now I can focus on some of my unfinished projects...

looks real neat Eric. thanks for sharing the pics.

I see you've got a piece of tubing on the shaft before the collet. that may work if you just forget to tighten down the collet good before launching, but not if the prop hits something that pulls the shaft out of the collet, like a bouy or other floating debris. I know that tubing way is more convenient, but a collar with the set screw could save the shaft when it counts. On the other hand, if the prop does get ripped backwards real hard, using the fuel tubing instead of a collar could save the stuffing tube from tearing up the bottom of the hull. jmho

It's a catch-22 I guess. I'm sure there are other opinions on that subject.

Losing shafts and favorite props to the lake bottom sucks :D

Good boating, and nice looking boat you got there.
