OS Outboard lower drives water pick ups

Is it just me or is this lower units water pickup brass a little hard to get tubing to stay on? Its smooth and small. Anyone running this lower how do you make this little sucker hold tubing. I'm guessing soldier on a barbed fitting or such. Any help here.Thanks

I had the same issue. I scuffed mine up with 80grit and put a wire tie on.

try not to keep taking it off either, take off the tubing from the water nipple at motor instead

These work really well. I think you will have to re-size the barb slightly for a tight fit on the OS pickup but that's no biggy.

Yeah they work great. I use them on everything.
