like the title says guy's, what happens to a battery pack when submerged......35 feet under, yup, at the bottom of the pond (don't ask). beside the fact that I may aswell buy a new one, what happens to the pack?

We know water is a conductor, did the pack shorted out?

if I was to recover the pack, am I wasting my time? (there is also a cowl from another boat down there).

Dan.

I've used reveiver batteries after a boat spent a week at the bottom of a 50 foot deep pond. I've also used a 6S lipo pack after dropping it in the brackish water at the Sydney race this January. Water is actually a poor conductor and batteries are well sealed. Corrosion at the connections is the problem. Unwrap the pack and dry everything out really well.
