out on the water to day and boat ran great ,getting more speed every time . but now i get the odd nose spin out what causes this?

Spin out how?? Like the nose hooks and the transom swings around?

If so then it could be the slight added wieght of the patch job.

Or just a strut hieght and or angle issue. Try setting the strut at a more positive angle or raise the strut a little, only do one at a time to determine the issue.

Prop angled down is gonna give you more nose down.

Prop angled up is gonna lift the nose up.

Your rudder could be angled back too far as well. This will lift the rear when you give rudder input. Check to see that the rear of the rudder is set to 90 degrees, maybe angled back a little.
