New Computer

so got the family a new computer. I hate windows 8. I was not going to do that. I got my first iMac. so far so good. takes a little getting used to but not to bad as I've used linux distros for years. but I still need to do some windows stuff. I'm just trying virtual box now. so far I have a vista virtual box up and running. microsuck even activated it. looks like this will all work out! i'm happy!

anyone else run virtual box?

I use parallels....so far no real problems...just takes some time to load.

Used virtual box but didn't like it. So switched to parallels 3 years ago

yea. my son says parallels is better also. I just did not wanter to spend the $80 bucks

I use VirtualBox to host images of Solaris and OpenBSD.

and it amuses me that you hated Windows 8 (which changed a few things from Windows 7) and threw it out for Mac OS X which changes everything from Windows.

Well I have been using various linux distros for years. So a mac is not too foreign. So far the mac has been doing well.
