Looks nice... that strut should work since 2.5mm is almos 1/8th inch if i remember my conversions correctly

Do you know if they have a strut that uses a 4mm flex shaft? My German isn't good, (nonexistent in fact :p ). That is the size I need for my collet on my engine. I will most likely use a .150" shaft however.

Tom, you would need one for a 3mm shaft. .125"=3.175mm

As far as I can see, they only offer 2,5mm / 3,2mm / 4,7mm flex shafts.

They recommend the 2,5mm shaft for .12 / .15 engines, the 3,2mm shaft for .21 engines and the 4,7mm shaft for .46 engines.

I use shafts according to their recommendation and did not have any problems so far.

some specs:

hull length - 55,5cm

total length - 65,5cm

width outside - 32,5cm

Distance between sponsons - 25,0cm

C.G. - 26cm (from drive dog) = about at the flywheel

weight - 1,1kg (without fuel)

pipe length - 16,0cm (glowplug to pipe-weld)

So, when is the big day? need to know how she preforms!! sure looks good though. You do very nice wook work. ;D

Went out today with my little baby, broke in the engine, had to adjust the sponsons, they needed a bit more AOA. After about 45 - 60 minutes I found a good setup. The OS TR now screams like there is no tomorrow! The Baby SG makes about 85 km/h maybe up to 90 km/h. This is only estimated - but you can believe me I can estimate the speed of my boats. (The estimated speed of my Graupner Taifun was around 70 km/h - GPS measured speed was between 69 km/h and 72km/h).

So I think my little project is a success! :D

Went out alone, so no pictures from my maiden voyage :(

But I will post some pictures / videos in the future!

whew, if your speed estimate is even close, that thing is a success! on the first day out no less..... great job bud

Even though the water conditions were not optimal, I finally took some pictures:

I also made two short videos (DivX coded):

If you can not watch DivX movies, you can download the newest DivX codec for the Windows Media Player here:

The front sponsons don't even touch the water! Take 'em off!! ;)

Looks like you've got it 'dialed in' pretty good. Nice job!
