Forcast says rain will stop overnight but unfortunately the north breeze is supposed to come down the pond all day... :(

Sunday should be much better as that front moves off:

Hi Terry talked with John last night he said they didn't even bring the reterieve boat out yesterday due to the poor weather condition Saturday they will likely just sit around and wait since as you saw the wind is coming from the north it will chop up the water pretty bad by the time it gets down to the course but Sunday does look like it should be a good day for setting records since the wind is reduced and coming from the east. Hope they get at least one good day of running. I miss being there but I had to go up to STL to visit my Grandkids that came in from NC plus pick up a new Gas Crackerbox. Good luck Jon, David, Carl, Mike, Mike, Mike and Latham.

Winds were calm and temps cool, any news?

Antbody Break Anything?? No, No, I meant Records.

Well, how about the other "Break" too? Nothing like watching a boat disentigrate itself at 100 plus.

Scott,

I didn't break Eric's record but I did get a pass at 3.84 seconds with my stock 3.5cc O/S. So close but no cigar.

In order to break his record by .25 mph, I would have had to average a 3.75.

I got two weeks to find another 0.09 seconds.

HAD FUN THOUGH!

Thanks Carl, who else was there?

Greetings!

NO records this time around, sorry to say. Carl VanHouten (Vans Racing) was working with his driver Mike Talley to bump the 3.799 sec B Sport O/B Tunnel SAW speed up, but no luck. They came real close but even with dozens of prop changes and several powerheads it was not to be. Graham Lathan and his wife Olive, from Bermuda were there, Graham ran his GAS Hydros and Twin Outrigger. His hulls were his own design and built with lots of access to the engine and fuel compartment.

A robust Thank You to Mike Stevens from the Nashville Music City Buoy Dodgers who drove down each day to haul the retrieve boat to the pond, and also David Hall who helped Mike and I set the course and run the event. David ran his "A" Hydro and the geared outboards. The Geraghty "Girdle" was installed on the D outboard to contain the power. Mike ran his Twin Picco powered Hydro to maybe improve his current 19.320 second oval record.

Hull and pipe builder Jon Thibodeau also attended with his new carbon fiber pipes to test and a box of the new CMDI Andy Brown CNC machined props to evaluate.

We were rained out like Terry mentioned on Friday, had a gloomy Saturday, but finished with perfect water and weather on Sunday. There was plenty of open water for the small group on the last day.

John Equi or Glenn Quarles,

I heard that the timming equipment was being sent to Valdosta for a T.T. event in two weeks.

Is there going to be a Time Trials in Valdosta in two weeks and if so, are nitro boats going to be allowed this time?

Thanks,

-Carl
