You can use racing castor and it makes a lot less mess while still having good lube properties cut it with a little marvel oil to thin it

i use sig castor oil.. you can get a gallon for about 22.00 from a hobby shop and lasts a life time.

plus denatured aclky will cut it.

Synthetic motor oil works JUST FINE in DOC's OILIERS. Dr.T

I use 10 w 30 synthentic in Dr Turners oiler.

i use engine oil in mine... since i started using them i have had so little shaft wear its not funy!

Just a thought on this subject, wouldnt motor oil or even the synthetics have a little what you would say harm on the enviroment?, I would think the castor oil to be best if you think of it??, just a thought
