Mine is set about 1.5 in below the prop. Seems to work well.

i currently have mine appart.....

1.25" below the bottom of the strut works good for mine, but 1" did not. 1.5" is a sure thing.

Mine is @ 1.5 too, turns to the left are long and sweeping though
