egeine rotation

why does model egienes turn counter clockwise instead of clockwise like a full scale boat??(inboard hydro).

Many years ago when I started racing boats the engines were airplane engines converted to run in boats with cool klamps and flywheels. They turn counterclockwise when facing the prop. I guess nobody ever saw any reason to change. Greg Roth
