I have a 38 in Youngblood mono with the built in trim tabs and the pad on the bottom. It has a mildly modded CMB65 Silver head driving a surface drive X465 to 60 mph. I'm switching from a strut to a 1/4 in Speedmaster stinger. Should I cut the stinger back and try to keep the relationship between the prop and the rudder the same or should I extend the rudder bracket? The front of the rudder would be about 6 in from the transom. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
