Don Pinkert Hydro

Hi Guys!

I got a really nice Don Pinkert round nose from an Int'lwaters member (thanks Mike).......... It has the original straight 1/4" shaft and fixed angle strut. I'll be putting a K&B .82 in it to use as a pleasure boat.

I need some help figuring out the right prop. my best guess is an x460. or a Prather 255. I'm not sure the Prather is going to have enough lift.

Opinions please!

try the 460 but don't be surprised if you can go down to an X-457..

The 1662 is not going to work with the solid shaft boat. It will blow the back out so much I doubt you would get the boat off the beach. Back when the solid shaft was in, there was so few props available. The X series was the main stay. I would have to aggree with the X460.
