I just finished watching my last few recorded episodes/stages of the Dakar. Wow. I'm constantly amazed at how awesome this rally is. Even though it's not the Paris-> Dakar route anymore, it's still a very good race. The South America venue is actually pretty cool. And very tough.
Robby Gordon did OK. Had some issues, looks to be back strong next year. Laia Sanz did an awesome job on the bike, and placed the highest for a lady rider ever. The Russians dominated the truck division in the Kamaz rides....oh, and The Aussie Toby Price was rookie of the year with a podium finish. Good stuff.
I can't wait for next year! I'm also ready for World Rally season to start.
