Mayde this question has been asked already but I will ask again.

Is it more inportant to cool the motor first or the speed control first if you only have one pick up?

Here is my thinking and maybe I'm wrong .......Here is what I have seen on my boats my esc temps are always lower than my motor temps. So I cool the motor first then the esc. But I have been told to cool the esc first . Is this wrong ? Or dose hull type play a factor in this ?

I recommend cooling the ESC first and then the motor. I do not recommend a Y as the pressure balance between the motor and ESC can vary enough to put the majority of cooling flow to the less restrictive component. If you want to cool both independently I would suggest a dual pick-up or to carefully monitor the exit flow.
