One more newbie question.. ??? ;D

My rigger will be painted inside & out. I dont want to have to drill out any holes after painting & "open" the paint job.

How much bigger do you drill the hole to allow for paint?

And..

I have many threaded holes also. 4-40 carb shield & cowl mounts. #8 wood screws for the exhaust bracket etc.. Should I drill these completely out? Then add epoxy after paint & rethread?

I will use sherwin williams 5 mil highbuild primer with U.S. paint awl quick filler on top of that. Then a single stage aerospace epoxy paint to finish so it wont be thin due to all the pinholes in the epoxy hull.

Thanks before hand.

I like to seal and harden the threads and holes with thin CA before painting. Then put old screws in the holes to keep the paint out.

Hi

MikeP beat me too it but same approach. This is also a good way to tighten up loose threads, just wax the bolt when chasing the thread clean.
