I talked to Dave Platt (of competitive scale r/c airplanes) who told me to dilute the paint with equal part of thinner, mix, then add to same amount of catalyst before spraying (1/3 paint, 1/3 thinner, 1/3 catalyst). I have not tried it yet, but I trust him at his word. In the past I have used automotive paints, but I am planning on trying to use the "newer" K&B epoxy paints since automotive is too expensive.

Why K+B? Do you allredy have the paint? There primer was the best back when there paint was good. I have used the new paint and i did not like it. I did a prototype model for a company bidding for the X-Prize and the paint was crap. When you are trying to impress dudes like, well nevermind, anyway when it comes to boats do your self a big favor and buy Auto Paint. I like Sherwin Wiliams ultra 7000 clear and any color.

I also have had good luck with PPG but still like the SW much better.
