I us some teflon grease on my outboard and im using blue trailer greas on my mono. They both have worked very well. I have gone out for hours and played with out having to regrease. I have not tried anything else, just because this has worked.

I use the hocky tape and am not very impressed. It will keep water out unless it is submerged. I sank my boat for about 15 min and it did not work. other than that it has not had water inside. I still have not tried 3m tape yet!
