    3rd channel mixture valve

I have a couple of new OS 60D Active Mix carbs here. Integrated active mixture with no needle valve and a nice range of adjustment. The arm on one side of the carb rotates the barrel and the other adjusts the mixture. No need for a separate third channel needle valve. I'd sure like to see...

    Attention: Designers And Builders

A friend of mine has an Allison with a Merc 2.5 that does over 100. He took me for a ride in it once that I will never forget. It has a ride pad with a shallow vee, and a very unique little lip right at the back edge of the ride pad. If you could get a picture of one of those I'm sure some...

First time boat, but I want something fast.

My track closed too. :( But I always liked boats better anyway. Cars were simply more convenient to race, but the maintenance and parts were a killer. If the house is on the lake it is probably a larger body of water. I would get the largest mono I could afford - at least a .45 size. You don't...

    engine stalling.

Maybe your prop is too big??? What is the water temperature?? That ice cold water could really help put the fire out quick too especially if its overpropped.

    flywheel problems

Use a thinner washer. You could put one behind the flywheel instead of behind the coupler too. One other problem I've seen in cars is the split tapered collet seats too far inside the flywheel, and then the flywheel contacts the bearing before it fully compresses the collet.

    Bonding wood to Fiberglass hull??

Epoxy sticks to Polyester resin better than Polyester resin itself does.

I can fix anything made of fiberglass. How much for the damaged hull? I'll be in Chicago tomorrow.

    My first boat race!!!

I didn't see very much of the racing because I was too busy scratching my head and wrenching, and of course there are no local boaters that I know of here either. You going to any other races this year? I hope running the buoys won't be a problem after racing 1:8 off-road for 3 years but we'll...

    My first boat race!!!

Right there in Oshkosh! I lived in Appleton back in my high school days for a few years, but I'm in Lake Mills now. Its 1/3 the way from Madison to Milwaukee. And yes I need parts too. My engines consumed more carb gaskets and Carb O-Rings than they did fuel, but I may try to find some thin...

    My first boat race!!!

Well at least you made it in the water! I was there for my first race too, but couldn't keep the carbs secure on my engines and my boat never even got wet. Of course I could run them at my pits just fine. The carbs didn't come loose until I was on the clock. Maybe if I had finished the boat...

    RB Concept C5 Marine

Is anybody running these? I stopped by my LHS to chat with some 1:8 off-road racers and they said this motor is incredible, and is available in a marine version: http://www.rbproducts.com/rbww/engines3.5/...5/indexrb21.htm Click on the marine 3.5 bottom left, and be sure to also click on the...

    Picco 80

I have two silver head EXRs that should be running for the first time this weekend. From what I have discovered on these forums over the past year or so (no personal experience yet) they are among the most powerful, but have a weak rod and don't like to be overrevved. Parts are almost impossible...

    JR XR3 3rd channel mixture

I'd plug it into steering before changing a TX knob. The servo should keep up unless the needle is tight. I did a ton of work on my needles to free them up (2 on one mini servo), and still had to go to a HS5245 Hi-Tech Digital Min for enough power. Only a mini will fit in my radio box...
