Terry, you probably already know about this but There is a new crank in the later engines that will improve the balance. The left one is an older balanced crank and the right one i the newer one. The is also an newer balanced drum without the aluminium ramp. //André

I was wrong, Navigas sound limit rule is 80 dB! and with the extra muffler it is is very hard to hear (tune) my engine when I run with other boats. From Navigas rulebook: The competitor must be advised immediately if their boat exceeds 80 dB/A. If the second measurement also exceed the noise...

This is not the most elegant solution but very effective. Just a simple spray can. This solution uses many of us in Sweden and it manages Navigas requirements of 82 db. The pipe is a Cooper 45 QHP. //andré
