You answered your own question!!! You say your manual fuel pump has locked up three times?? Time to go to Performance/O'Donnel or Morgan fuels!! If the pump won't work the motor won't like it!!

I use a propane torch head attached to a 20LB. tank.. Silver soldered things for dang near ten years and still have a heavy tank?? Later!! Pat

When I build a cable I use an Ultra-Sonic Cleaner with water and Dawn dish soap.. Removes all the grease/oils and is easy to make soldering less of a task.. I use 45% silver solder on both ends but have made a jig to hold stub shaft and cable stable during soldering procedure.. Later!! Pat
