Is the inside of a pipe suppose to be empty? Have a pipe I received w/ engine but it's bare inside the pipe. I am new to nitro so sorry if this question sounds stupid.

Just came across a couple of old octura parts....SS Turn Fin 60 size and a "45" Flywheel (steel) w/collect.
Is anyone still using these kind of parts? Would they be worth selling off?
