I am writing this with a very heavy heart. One of my very best friends, Jack O'Donnell, died last night. I do not know many of the details at this time.
As I learn more, I will post it on here.

Our condolences to the O’Donnell family. Jack went out of his way many times to help me with Picco engines and parts. His generosity was second to none.

Charles,

That is really sad news. I did not know Jack or Steve too well, but
I did a quite few propellers for them. Jim Wilson and Jack shared
quite a bit of great engine knowledge with me over the years and
this hobby has lost some of the Best Ever. We will be praying for
the O'Donnell family.

The model community, and district 19 in particular have lost one of the most genuine persons I’ve ever known.
A very sad day indeed! Condolences to Steve and the O’Donnell family

The only engine builder, beside myself, to build & use the Bell Valve induction system in a model engine. I will miss our many conversations old friend. My deepest condolences to your family. May you rest in peace.

I cannot remember the date that we met but I do know that it was over 40 years ago. It was at Legg Lake and he always had this skinny kid tagging along with him, that was Steve. They were unseparatble, and they remained this way all of their lives. Not only father and son but best friends.

Jack was a very quiet person but when he spoke everyone listened. He loved to laugh and as far as I know, I do not know of a single person that had anything bad to say about him. He would help anyone that asked. He was extremely knowledgeable with the small 2 stroke engines. He would be rated in the top few percentages of these experts in the world.

I am honored to have been called his friend. Jim Wilson and Jack knew of each other but did not know the other. I had the pleasure to introduce them. It is very special when two of your best friends become friends. They shared a lot of time and knowledge with each other.

I am sure missing them very much.

Sad to hear. Thoughts go out to his Family. I was always amazed at the craftsmanship in his engines and tether cars. A true artist!
