looking for someone who can make the os 9 b carb fit the k/b 45 red head ob......thanks......bob

I'm not sure that can be done, not without some serious machine work anyway.
The 9B is held in place by two screws and fits flush to the outside of the engine. K&B has the carb fitted inside a clamping area that extends away from the body of the case. As I said, you're looking at major machine work, if it can be done at all

jim allen succesfully mated a os 9 b to his nelson 45 ob , the 45 nelson ob uses the same carb attachment as the k/b.... bob

You're right Bob. Thus far, I have been unable to find the print which gives the exact dimensions of the four 4-40 screw holes drilled in the back side of the carburetor after machining it flat. The original sealing "O" ring is used between the machined adaptor's flange & the 9-B carburetor back side. The carburetor works beautifully once the low & high speed needles are set properly.

jim , i know you are a busy guy , could you please modify my os 9 b carb to fit my k/b red head carb , thanks ....bob

i agree to using the stock mounting lugs , get back to me when convenient for you thanks....bob

A good option would be the OS 21D or 60L carb. Has a 15 mm neck.
Thats what we use as a replacement for the K&B carbs. If you want a 3 needle carb you can use 40L.
