I paint my own, I believe to do a fare job but other fellow boat builders seem to think my painting skill deserve more credit, Maybe thats why I get recruitted to do the painting. The House of Kolors codes are....orange is #ne503 .......white is #bc26........ bottom is a boeing graphite paint...

Pics are on the way, I milled out the front hole on the mount to create the correct angle to acquire desired strut depth. !-3/8 is a good starting point but I've been told by more than one person it will end up closer to 1-1/8. I'll get you some more pics ASAP. Steve

This just in from Eric Ellstrom, hi the mfg of paint is house of colors. the orange is #ne503 but it will fade quickly in sunlight .the white is #bc26, and the black you see on the bottom is a boeing graphite paint but you can buy spray graphite in a can .ok hope this helps THE CREW

I see this going into the subject of coatings used for speed, lift, etc.... My first question is what is speed coat? Also, I put a call into Mr Ellstrom requesting paint codes and identity of the material od the bottom of the hull.

I wonder what the purpose of that is? The black looks to be only where the water contact is.

Anyone have the codes for the 2002 Miss Elam???

What size carbon fiber rods are you guys using for the rudder? It ranges in sizes from .020-.125" also how do you connect the clevises ?? Has any one used the Dave Brown Fiberglass Pushrod System? http://www.dbproducts.com/

I think they should have looked at the design of the outrigger hydro. Wouldn't you love to ride in a fullsize rigger. Crunch the #'s. If we consider the ones we run are 1/8 the size or 1/6 the size of a real one, and they hit 100mph with no problem anymore......600MPH!! HELL, we should find...
