Have you ran it any yet? I have this engine and pipe combo in a Vegas and I have only ran about 6 tanks through it for break-in, seems like it is going to be pretty quick. Also, what prop did you go with?
I have done this to mine... go through the stinger and drill a 1/8" hole in the center of the baffle inside the pipe. I haven't went any bigger with it, but I heard that if you go bigger than 1/8" then you loose too much back pressure.
I agree with most... but not the tank issue. They are junk. We bought three of the MV and two of them had tanks that all but came apart from cracking. They looked like a shattered windshield within two weeks of purchase. They were drained of fuel and kept inside between runs, and still broke...
Your rudder could be angled back too far as well. This will lift the rear when you give rudder input. Check to see that the rear of the rudder is set to 90 degrees, maybe angled back a little.
I think you need to elongate the slot in the strut and get it closer to the hull. I run mine about 1/2" between the strut and the hull, or about 7/8" from the bottom of the hull to the center of the strut. I like to have about one degree of positive trim in the strut.
I don't have a pic, but all I do is stick the drill bit through the stinger on the back of the aquacraft pipe and drill one hole in the center. You can't see light through a stock pipe but afterwards you should be able to see the 1/8" hole straight through the pipe. I ran the macs pipe and my...
I know that a stock Vegas pipe works great on that engine. I am running one on a vegas with a stock Go .18.
You will need to drill a 1/8" hole in the baffle going in from the rear of the pipe and this seems to work great. Any bigger and it seems to loose too much back pressure.
Pretty sure it...
