    servo torque measurement

If the servo is already rated in inch/ounces it is calculated to be "however many ounces" of force at a distance of 1" from the center of the pivot (screw). For the simplicity of math use 120. Divide by 12 and you get 10 foot/ounces. Divide 120 by 16 and you get inch pounds, to get foot pounds...

    funny thing with epoxy

Reduce time by 1/2 for every 10 degrees above 70 degrees. Hysol EA9430, Scotch 2216BA, most 5, 10, 30, 2 hr. all the same. At 90 degrees the time would effectively be 1-1/2 days instead of the 7 day cure, or whatever the cure time is, not pot life. 1/2, then 1/2 of that. That is a rule of thumb...

    Steel Cage Bearings

Last post for me. Seems to me I remember something about people running people out of clubs on both sites. I will confine my questions to people I know. As far I as this site goes, It is just a little too much fun for me.

    Steel Cage Bearings

I would first like to thank Rod for his straight forward and informative answer to my question. As for the answer earlier, I was not trying to be funny, nor was I looking to be laughed at for asking a question that I really did want to know the answer too. I have been around since the days of...

    Steel Cage Bearings

John, I was not asking anyone to be a test bed for anything, so in future posts please just answer in a polite manner. I have run bearings with steel retainers in the past that had SKF written all over them and they lasted several seasons in an OPS. This was before the introduction of plastic...

    Steel Cage Bearings

Has anyone tried the new generation steel cage bearings that are good for 30,000+ rpm? According to all the bearing manufacturers they are just as good as the plastic cage units. The bearing with no cage is indexed at 75,000 rpm, depending on what cage is used that limits the specific rpm for...

    "The Boat" Pictures wanted...

I am headed to the Tri-Cities in the morning. I will get them Friday. I have some of the boat sitting on the bunk plain jane but none of it running that way. Do you want those also? The wing will not unsettle the boat. You just have to trim it differently than a boat with no wing. We do it here...

pics needed of u-17 tempus tunnel

Glenn, I have almost a whole roll that I shot of the Stroh's on the trailer. It looks like there are some failry good shots of them in the boat with the cowl on. Lots of detail on the paint scheme. What do you want to know? It was a pair of naturally aspirated Big Block Ford protoype engines...

pics needed of u-17 tempus tunnel

I have about 12, which I took with Troy in the Tri-Cities in 86. Some are from the bottom of the hull. The guys from the Frank Kenney and Squire Shop crews were kind enough to let me get up on top of the trailers to get the photos. I have photo's fom Tri-Cities in 86-88 and some other years on...
