Servo lid and receiver

Servo lid and receiver

To give a clean straight shot with the steering arms the servo is mounted to the back lid of the radio box. The lid is perfectly milled to fit a hitech 645mg and it fits perfectly. Using a little CA the servo was mounted to the lid and then sealed with sililcon to preven any water from getting in. I have already had to replace a DOA servo and it was as easy as removing the 4 servo screws and putting the new servo lower casings on the the lid glued to the lid. You can also see the receiver mounted to the lid with velcro. This keeps it off the bottom in case any water gets in. Instead of an antenna mast a small hole was drilled just big enough for the antenna wire. The wire was fed through the hole and a small amount of sillicon to prevent any water. The is a nice feature as I do not have to deal with an attenna mast now
