The front tube holes are made a bit oversize to allow the sponson angle of attack set, with the strut set at 7/8 deep I place a 1/4 stick under the ride pads at 4 1/2 inches from the trailing edge. This gives a ride pad of about 3 degrees. Once i get the sponson angle correct the front tube seat is filled with epoxy filler, the tube is waxed so if it needs to be replaced it will come out of the seat ok. A 6-32 screw is drilled thru the bottom into the front tube.
