Brass tubing for the pushrod holes and aluminum "inserts" in the transom help keep it from crushing. Transom is 0.075" thick solid carbon made from several layers, prolly about as strong as aluminum but half the weight. Front bulkhead has blind nuts on back side to hold front boom tube clamps.
