R.J., I built a 1/8th scale of the U71. I have never seen another one. I noticed that you have no airtraps extending from the sponsons toward the transom. I found them to be absolutely necessary, otherwise the boat would blow over. The hull performs real well and it is fast.
This was the 18" version for use with the Cox .049. That was the way dumas made this one....I still have the U-71 36" in the box that I plan on building soon....Should be a good one, I'l do a build thread when I get it going...
