if it's wood it was probably built from the newton 101-6740 plans. probably built by a newton plans customer.

if white colored glass, epoxy or polyester, it might be a steve muck hull.

if dark greenish brown epoxy glass it might be a troy macintire hull.

if light green epoxy glass it might be a steve cluck, or bill fritz hull or a phil thomas hull

see newton marine web site plan list 101 for karelsen hull photos

the real karelsen low profile oval bow unlimiteds did not run front cowls

that rear cowl with "rocket style" head rest has markings for the 1970 budweiser II U13

use a molded resin 1/8 scale dummy merlin engine kit from larry kraemer with the existing cowl for scale appearance

or ask phil thomas about a set of jones style round nose front and rear cowls that can be adapted to fit this hull

great looking hull, good luck

Its wood stringers but the rest is glass .glass is more yellow but then again its old .
i'd guess that's the epoxy troy macintire used mid '90s - early 2000s.

former owner probably bought the newton redman plans and photos for reference.

regardless, looks like a nice hull and cowl. well worth re finishing, imo.

check out photos of the various 101 boats with the rocket head rest. start with the newton web site.

also see 101 karelsen photos on the phil thomas, rc boat company, bill osborn and unlimiteds detroit web sites.

good luck

It's a Bill Fritz scale or a RC boat company. I met Bill years ago he made some really nice scales back in the day.
