My user name is not appearing on my screen, when it does if I click on the arrow then it disappears and I cant get it back. What to do ?

The Christmas format that he has on the site is hiding it. You can reload the page by hitting the refresh button or change to the old format at the bottom of the page to Clean Cut.

when is the last time you logged out and logged back into your account?
if you haven't done it in a while do it, doing so, sometimes it will kind of update everything.
if not, like Gooy said, you should be able to pick yhe Xmas theme at the bottom.
