Most of the JAE boats use the 35/65 formula for engine placement. Not sure if this has changed or if it's different for the bigger boats. I'm sure someone else will chime in on this and boom tube size.

Actually mike walker was going to build it for me but wasn't sure on motor position. I think truex has run some of these. I don't know of anyone else that may have

I am just unsure on the new long boat. I know at one time there was some talk on here about it but now can't find it. I have some emails out may some one will get back

I have no experience with a .67 JAE, but have a .21, .45, and gas, and I am building a .91. The general rule is to install the motor as far back as the bulkhead allows. If you run the motor level with an S-bend drive shaft you can easily move the engine forward or back after the build is complete.

I'm running 3/8" solid carbon boom tubes on my .91. I run 5/16" solid on my .45. I would probably run the 3/8" solid tubes if I was to do a .67.

I run the 67,OAL is 43 (tub alone 41). Solid 3/8 booms work fine,pc of carbon tube 3/8 i.d. thru the tub. Angled motor about 7 degrees, Speed master hardware, motor is about 3 5/8 behind the rear boom to center of the motor mount bolts. On the rudder length,on my new 67 boat I have the back of rudder blade at the leading edge of prop. I use to run the shorter bracket, boat would prop walk just a little. Seemed to have worked me.

Haa...21/45/67/90 JAE "OWNER" not a Master by far. The boats make me look better than I am,very fun to drive. I have help by people that are pretty sharp. On the 90 JAE I can not remember exact size but I think 1/2 in booms? Truex will chime in what size they suggest for the 90.

Brad Nichols built me a 80/90 JAE that I have been running a MAC 67 in. It fly's took a little work to get a the right size/length turn fin as it liked to pull a little into the course after a corner but she's a very predictable and stable boat.

I was wondering if the gas envy could be used for a .67 or an .80 as I could get this as a kit rather than trying to figure out where to drill holes. If I go with the .67 jae I also need to come up with booms. With 5 inch sides I could use my aeromarine mounts for engine. Is the .90 jae close in size to the envy?

Fyi

I have a JAE Twin 45 tub an front sponsons built By Mike Walker.that I would sell that might work as a single .90 -1.01

If your interested I can send pics.

No hardware included never been drilled.
