It's raining here now thank God, was 101 a little earlier before the thunderstorms finally fired up. We broke a long standing heat record yesterday when it hit 104 but it ain't the heat it's the frikkin' humidity that's killin' us, just breathing made you sweat. The air is so thick you could **** near cut it with a knife. :wacko:

Knew when I walked out the door at 6 AM today and got smacked in the face by the heat and humidity, that is was going to be wicked. We got hammered by 4 days of straight rain last week, and nothing since, sure would cool it down some.

It was 102 on one bank thermometer and 106 on the other just a few minutes ago. I AM JUST THANKFUL FOR ONE THING. I DON'T HAVE ANY COTTON TO PICK.

yea yea..... my desk at work sits next to a 500 degree oven. this week the temperature at my desk was 101 - 106 degrees. Try that for a few 12 hour days!

Only 95 yesterday, but hanging core board in the mechcanical room at 102 is not a nice day. I think I lost a few pounds. Heat broke today but more rain coming, which means no subway system. God I love working in the Big Apple. <_< <_< <_< I need a boat race bad. Ray

Scotty boy, Come on to Memphis, I have been inside a 1600 CFM 350 psi portable compressor most of the day running @ 235-240 degrees about 6` from a 900 hp diesel with twin turbo`s whistleing, 8` fan blade bring the air off the coolers...... 105 would make it feel like the air conditioner was On...... the temps will break the carbon lenses in your personal glasses. or maybe its the Noise..... Anyways... it would tweak the Sxit out of a good DB meter..... :lol: :lol:

Yes Sir its REAL HOT!!!! the 100 mph wind off the fan will keep you from sweating. But your body temps Go way Up...... when the poly carbon lenses POP..... You need to back out!! its getting Serious.....

boy, i feel for you guys-NOT :lol: :lol: ! i lived in tallahassee, fl. for about 30 years. the only place i've seen 100% humidity, and it's not raining . grew up in miami, that was much better. this morning at 5:30 am, it was 62 at my house . we slept with the windows open. still don't know why it took me 49 years to get out of fla :blink: . btw, i work as an auto tech, my shop has ac!!! worked one place in tally, main shop door was right on busy street. i've seen that shop be 112 by 10 am. sux to be you. sorry 'bout my attitude. it's taken me a lot of years to realize i CAN change some parts of my life. getting harder to feel sorry for people that stay put and fuss. must be getting old :lol: :lol: .

Water temp at the lake was 99

Air density meter was reading 74

Motor temp befoe starting 72

noise level from being on the flight line 98

I was no fun at the lake
