VILLIAN WINS HV CHAMPS /SS K&B stock.
Just goes to show that sometimes stock and simple is the best. With varying weather conditions last weekend, 30 degrees on Saturday and almost an inch of rain on Sunday, keeping it simple is the most reliable way to go.

After last weekend, practice your starts and go AROUND the buoys.

Good to see everyone having fun though.

Thanks for some great racing guys - it was a blast! As usual the HVMMC did an awesome job!

Now it's time to concentrate on the next big event, the Battle of the Borders in Yarrawonga on the Australia day long weekend. With a little luck our recent efforts at the HV champs will help gain come more interest in the class and we can have a few more participants! I think we should organise a perpetual trophy for the 3.5 O/B class - the BOTB would be the ideal event for such an idea. What do you all think? I'd gladly donate to such a trophy...

Oh - almost forgot, Gongrats Greg (pulsetech) and your wife on your wedding! Will you be allowed out to play boats now that you are hitched?

Hi Guys

Gary mate wasnt your boat thats in a box needing a sand back and repaint a project for the future but mate if i hadnt have bought it well i wouldnt be racing now,but let me say the rest was on the old boat,

That stock engine has had nothing but a set of bearings,

I dont know how old that motor may be but its a great K & B motor.

Tim im all for donating towards the idea.

Greg

Congratulations Guys,

I'm glad you all had a good time. Especially congrats Greg - maybe I shouldn't have sold you that boat - no seriously I'm glad it's getting used the way it was designed to be.

Keep up the good work and one day I might be back to race with you guys.

Gary (GT) :D
Hey Gary, good to hear from you, where have you been?????

Looking forward to seeing you when you come out to play ;)

Gino :D

Hey Guys

The B.O.B outboard prepetual trophy has been sorted. Now we just need to put on a realy big show.

get the tunnys ready for some serious racing :p

Later

Dave

Hi Guys,

Greg sorry to hear you made a mess of the old boat - was it a bouy or the bank that got it?

Anyway you still earned an obviously well deserved win - quick and consistent will always beat fast and wild. Good job! I don't think that engine has much fuel through it at all prior to you getting it from me.

Gino I will be back but I'm still working on the house renovation thing - if I'm lucky the inside will be finished at Christmas.

On top of the house thing I have a new job which demands lots of hours so I am definitely limited to the amount of play time available. Sounds like all you guys are getting good equipment and learning how to get the most from it - great stuff. Looks like I will be struggling at the back as you guys blast off into the distance. ;)

Good to see so much activity going on for tunnels - I will be back! :p

If I can get the time off I'll be there - not sure if I'll have a boat by then so I might be looking to drive someone's "spare".

Oz tunnel industry news

Anyone looking for custom O/B tanks in Oz - I just got one from Paul Osmond (Ozzy2) and it's awesome. Fast to make / deliver and well priced!

I spoke with John @ Gadjetcraft by phone on Monday - he's thinking of developing a new 29" O/B tunnel hull that sounds very promising. No ETA yet. I'll let you all know if / when I hear more.

Tim.

Tim,

wouldn't mind a 10oz tank for the Nemesis. also an underdeck tank for my 1/8 scale. How do we go about getting these.

Gino

Gino,

I just emailed Paul the dimensions I wanted and he made the tank to them. He put a surge tank in there for me too. Send a PM to Ozzy2 on IW.

Tim.

Had a bit of bad luck with HV Champs bring BOB will be there with 2 Neminis's and a Villan no fish in that lake. Tim as far as blowing off Grims Neminis that didnt happen quit like that it actually launch it self of the wash of the rescue boat in a moment of brain fade on my behalf thought i was still driving the twin that was run only a few heats before no escuses though it was driver error.

Ahh - I couldn't see any wash as I was on ground level in the back-up pit. It sure did get up and go after launching! Are you planning on bringing it out to Penrith next "race day" 27th Nov? The boys are keen to race again.
