hi bob have a look at a real ModVP merc or a real OMC v8 (which I have one of on the engine stand) they have the F1 style exhaust that comes out above the trim plate

Mike that evinrude is the same as I have just a quarter of the size. Id love to own. not to use just to take some photos of be side my full size one. My real one has the 20 inch mid section with a low water pick up gear box.

Looking to get my tunnel hull budlights back in service. I have 2 and no outboards for them. Had 2 evinrudes for them. Sent out to be repaired and never got them back. I have two 402's and just purchased 2 more. I miss running my seebolds. Had a massive heart attack couple years back and need to keep busy. Been doing the rc boats since 70.
