Recommendation for transmitter and receiver

Hello --

I'm rebuilding a remote controlled sailboat. It came with a very old receive and no transmitter. So, I'd like to purchase a new transmitter receiver combo. There are some interesting and low-ost ones that some helpful people on this forum previously recommended.

What makes this more challenging is that I'd like to ensure that the receiver can work with BOTH:
- A handheld transmitter
- A transmitter modem that I attach to my computer, for more sophisticated controlling

Can anyone recommend something that meets those needs? Much appreciated.

This more of a racers forum. I don't think you will find that info here. I am not aware of a computer to reveiver interface.

radiolink connects to a computer. its intended for simulator software. The port also allows heads up control of the servos. wearing FPV goggles moving your head up and down moves the throttle, moving side to side controls the steering. They're also quite affordable with super strong signals.
