Rob, thanks to you, otherwise, I wouldn't have a reason to put this post together. BTW, because the engine had so little time on it, I'll be able to save the piston & sleeve.

Stephan, John is on the money. This is an Alumilite product. You can get it online, larger hobby shops and craft shops. Check out their web site. Along with their casting resin, you can make neat stuff for your scale boats. I've used these products to make steering wheels and exhaust stacks.

Very clean repair, Steve! I have seen some really cobby looking jb repairs in the past. Running K&B's on my 20 sport tunnel this may come in handy one day, been VERY lucky so far.
 
Nice job Steve & very good post. I've welded a many cases in the last 25 yrs and all are a good grade of cast aluminum. $15 if anyone needs it done.
