In my experiences there is ZERO percent chance I am putting 10K worth of boats on 3D printed parts.. I SO HOPE YOU PROVE ME WRONG!

I designed these for the shop wall so I could quickly pull racks from trailer easily. In the trailer I use ENT conduit... I don't know enough about the different materials and their properties to trust them in a dynamic environment.
 
PLA's will continue to absorb water (hence they need not be recycled) and just for instance. A PLA printed object submerged in water will start to fall apart in as little as 5-7 days. They become brittle and break. I suspect you have see this on a older spool.

The design looks sturdy and well done.. if its PLA.. consider making them out of ABS.
