I have read and heard quite a few descriptions over the years concerning "cutting down" props. I could use an opinion or two on that subject. What exactly does that mean?

Thanks guys,

Rich

Hey Rich....When you cut down a prop you reduce the overall diameter of the prop. What you end up with is a small diameter prop with more pitch than you would have with a prop that small. Normally you might not be able to turn a prop that big but by cutting it down, you can. At least that is my take on it. The big boys might explain it differently. Go fast and God bless!
