Collet type

What collet should I use on the UL-1 motor in my JAE? I'm leaning towards Octura. but Gary Preusse lists 2. A long & short apparently?

The Octura collets are excellent. I use them on everything from P spec boats to my 8S scale boat with a 3/16 shaft.

Yes... Just pick the one that best suites your need/fit.

Any input on the length? I don't have the motor yet. Gary says there is a long & short?

I think its 1" on the short and 1-1/2" for the long approx.

I have a long 5mm electric at home I can check the length tonight.

I use a short Octura (5mmx.150) for my UL-1 powered JAE....

Its a OCFHE5MM15S and the long OCFHE5MM15D is 1-1/2" long almost dogged down. Both have 2 set screws.
