Sanwa 2.4 Antennas

I’m told the Sanwa FH4 471W 2.4 Receiver is being discontinued and all future receivers will be in the 490 series FH5. I don’t think its a good move but I don’t make the decision.

That being said…
1. Has anyone successfully used an after market receiver on their Sanwa/Airtronics 2.4 transmitter?

2. Has anyone successful replaced one of the short 493 receiver antennas with the replacement 471 antenna?

Wasn’t sure what forum heading to use so I placed here.

Please, this thread isn’t about what manufacturers system is best Its just about helping folks find a solution.

Once FH5 is all that is available only the M17 or MT5 will work with it.

From my experience all the RX use a similar IPX IPEX connector. This is from changing them on Futaba, JR, Spektrum ETC. I do not see any issue with using any of these on the RX. Search IPX or IPEX 2.4Ghz RX antennas on Google and you will see a wide variety of lenghts and places that sell them. I have used AM antennas for years without issue.
